This blog was initially created to display work from a 100 level art course I was required to take once I transferred colleges. Now I have decided to restart my blog entries with everyday events within the last few months of my senior design studio as a member of the architecture program at the University of Maine at Augusta.

Test for Thesis Presentation Idea
I am thinking about creating a short documentary about my design process to demonstrate edges that are creating between digital media and hand graphics or "pen and paper thinking". This was just a test of speeding up video. I normally would have created a model out of some material, photographed it, then projected in onto a white board and continue sketching at a much larger scale.

Hi! this looks great, I love that your thinking about the narrative and how we can play with that as we work in multiple media's. Your should check out MOS architect, they have some great narrative films that I think you would appreciate!
ReplyDeleteOk I like this idea. YOu need stronger contrast for the linework to be readable.
ReplyDeleteGood Idea though. Have you tried drawing on a tablet to eliminate your body from the screen shot?
I have you if you want to try it out.
I have not tried a tablet, mostly because I cannot afford it. I'm not sure if I would want to remove myself from the final product because it would eliminate my process and remove my identity. However, maybe a combination of the two could create a very dynamic final film.
Deleteactually I just took a walk and thought about these comment a little more. I think a tablet would actually be a great way to show another digital edge that may be used within the iterative process. Thanks for the comments and I will look into the MOS architect too.
